How to Add a Movie/Series Item

The Movie Tracker in FaithLife OS helps you document movies or TV series that resonate with your values and offer meaningful lessons. Here’s how to add a new movie item, including key details and reflection points.

Accessing the Movie Tracker Section

  • Open the Dashboard: Start by navigating to your FaithLife OS dashboard.
  • Navigate to the Movie Tracker Section: Click on the Movie Tracker section to open it.

Adding a New Movie Item

  1. Select “New Movie Tracker with Guide”: On the left side of the Movie Tracker section, click the New Movie Tracker with Guide button. This guide will help you structure your entry with prompts for each section.
  2. Fill Out Movie Properties:
    • Title: Enter the title of the movie or series.
    • Short Description: Add a brief overview or tagline for the movie.
    • Year Released: Specify the release year.
    • Run Time: Enter the total runtime in minutes.
    • Rating: Rate the movie on a scale of 1-5 stars based on your enjoyment or the movie’s quality.
    • Genre: Mention the genre, such as drama, action, or documentary.
    • Favorite: Mark this checkbox if it’s one of your favorites.
    • Status: Select whether the movie is Not Started, In Progress, or Completed.
    • Type: Choose if it’s a Movie or TV Series.
    • Total Episodes: If it’s a TV series, note the total number of episodes.

Adding Content for Reflection
Once you’ve completed the basic properties, you can dive into the movie’s details and your personal reflections:

  • Synopsis: Write a concise summary of the movie’s storyline.
  • Memorable Quotes: Note any quotes that stood out to you, whether they were impactful, humorous, or thought-provoking.
  • Biblical References: Connect the movie’s themes to Biblical references or teachings that resonate with its message.
  • Moral Lessons: Describe any moral lessons or ethical insights the movie conveys.
  • Personal Reflection: Reflect on how the movie influenced your thoughts, emotions, or beliefs.
  • Discussion Points: List any discussion topics or questions for group conversations, ideal for deeper analysis or sharing with others.
