Before adding a new book to FaithLife OS, it’s recommended to add the author first if they aren’t already saved in your Author section. You can find instructions on adding an author here. Once the author is added, follow the steps below to add a new book.
Access the Books Section
- From the Dashboard, open the Books section.
- Under Quick Actions, click on New Book.
Fill Out Book Properties
- Title: Enter the book’s title.
- Author: Select the author from the list of saved authors (adding the author first is recommended).
- Genre: Choose the genre from the available options.
- Favorite: Check this box if the book is a favorite.
- Book Cover: Upload the book’s cover image.
- Date Started: Enter the date you started reading the book.
- Status: Select the reading status—options include Not Started, In Progress, or Done.
- Ratings: Rate the book based on your reading experience.
- Read: Track your reading progress by noting the current page you’re on.
- Total Pages: Enter the total number of pages in the book.
- Progress: This will calculate your reading progress percentage based on the current page and total pages.
- Date Finished: Record the date when you completed the book.
